What it means for your advertising

Most people don't enquire on their first visit. Remarketing lets you reach them again, in social feeds, search results or on other websites, while they're still deciding.

It's the part of audience targeting built from your own visitors. A lookalike audience goes the other way, using those visitors to find new people like them.

It relies on cookies or similar tracking, so it only includes visitors who accepted advertising cookies. Keep an eye on frequency: seeing the same ad all week puts people off.

An example

Someone reads Java Roasters' office coffee page and leaves without enquiring. Three days later, scrolling Instagram, they see a Java Roasters ad offering a free tasting box for their team.

Java Roasters is a fictional business, and its figures are illustrative.

How we handle it

Our team sets up remarketing where your campaign has enough website visitors to build from, usually on Facebook and Instagram, and watches how often people see the same ad. More on Facebook & Instagram advertising.
